Build the remote control of your dreams this weekend

Build the remote control of your dreams this weekend

It can be annoying…

To have one remote control for your TV, one for your TV-box, one for your stereo, one for your radio +++

So why not make the remote control of your dreams?

One where you can choose exactly the remote control functions you want from each of your remote controls.

And be able to control it from your computer.

This is a fun project I once built in front of a live audience on Maker Faire.

I had 20 minutes for my presentation.

I finished building in about 15 minutes.

Here’s the tutorial I wrote: http://www.build-electronic-circuits.com/arduino-remote-control/

The tutorial explains how to build a universal remote control that can read the code from any remote.

Your favorite codes can be saved and used later on.

Controlled from your computer.

This can also serve as a starting point for creating you own IR-controlled devices.

You can build this even if you’re a complete beginner.

Just follow the steps.

But if you want to be able to build projects of your own, you need a foundation in basic electronics.

Getting Started With Electronics is an eBook that takes you through the most important topics and exercises you need to get started.

You’ll also get to build really cool things like running lights, a theremin and a synthesizer.
