PC maker Asustek develops a netbook which will run Google’s Android open source operating system, business publication Bloomberg reports. Asustek’s main man for Eee PC netbooks Samson Hu said in an interview that a team of engineers had been assigned to develop the Android-based netbook project.

Sounds like a fantasy? Nopes. Its reality. ASRock has found ways to tweak Vista so that it can be booted in just 4 seconds!!! To achieve such a marvelous result, ASRock manipulated the Advanced Configuration and Power Interface that Microsoft manipulates for its sleep and hibernate modes.

Microsoft has announced this week the upcoming Windows 7 operating system, which is based on Windows Vista. Initially when Vista was launched there was no one I knew who loved Vista. The main reason why people hated it was that it used to consume far too much system resources.

Nothing official here, but word on street has it that Microsoft will come out with a beta version of it's next generation operating system -- Windows 7 -- in couple of weeks' time.
