Repair A Thermally-Fused 9.6v Battery Pack

Repair A Thermally-Fused 9.6v Battery Pack

Why doesn't your 9. 6v battery pack work? Maybe it's thermally fused. Those are not resettable, and break the current to or from your pack if they get hot.

Solar powered laser pointer made out of fairly common parts, and an altoids tin.

Today we will be creating a solar powered laser pointer. Parts: 5v 300ma (or so) solar panel 3. 6v battery pack (I used one out of an old cord less phone) random bits of wire, preferably red and black altoids tin (mmm wintery minty-ness) switch 6 pole two way preferred, 2 pole single throw would work LED which also works as a blocking diode (found mine in an old computer) laser diode (I found mine in an iPod laser pointer that was broken) Materials and tools: Soldering iron Digital multi-meter Hot glue gun (could use some other glue.

Trickle charging auto-switching LED helmet

Trickle charging auto-switching LED helmet

I was inspired by calebjc's green helmet to build my own. I suspect the parts on mine were easier to come by (bike store and wherever solar powered yard lights are on sale).
