If you think that the Light-emitting-diode (LED) is nothing more than an ordinary semiconductor diode that emits light when an electric current is applied in the forward direction of the device, then you must change your thoughts here…
Do you know that LED is being classified as one of the most incredible inventions for the electronics components? Furthermore, LEDs are widely being used as indicator lights on electronic devices and increasingly in higher power application, such as flashlights and area lighting.

Here's a nifty little Christmas gift I made up for my daughter. It's quick and easy to throw together, and looks rather nice. It's pretty much a sun jar with a couple of modifications, I used a star shaped LED from a string of Christmas lights, and modified the circuit a little so that instead of a steady light, it twinkles softly.

Anyone here that ever been to any Countdown party, such as the New Year countdown party at Times Square? Yep, if you did then you’ve very familiar with the gigantic energy-efficient LED countdown ball at the Times Square.

For those of you here that have the Internet Plug, you’ll realize that it’s a very useful tool. However, it’s still has one downfall, where there is no password protection was available for the Site Player and this is quite unsafe for the user!
Now, with the Internet Plug Version II, you’ll get this problem solve instantly! Well, it’s not a hard task to develop this Internet Plug II, all you need to do here is attach a 16F877 processor to the Site Player.

You’re frustrated with the old-fashioned analog wattmeter and you’re looking for a more powerful wattmeter? Well, then you’ve come on the right time, where you’re going to learn how to build the digital wattmeter today…
Do you know that most of the traditional analog wattmeter is an electrodynamics instrument, where the device is consisted a pair of current coils (fixed coil) and potential coil (movable coil).

After being frustrated by not having enough room to work, not being able to find the right tools and supplies, and spending way too much time looking for things, we decided to clean out a basement utility room and build a workshop.

I am rather the absent minded sort of guy. To put it another way my memory stinks so if I get distracted from a project where I might have a hot soldering iron smoldering away, I could completely forget it and later burn myself.

Bob Hickman, Minty Amp maker, sent us a howto on making a jig for small form factor soldering projects. I often have to solder up a bunch of PCBs that are the same size, but have a bunch of fiddly components on them.
